Low-porosity stones perform best in Australian alfresco areas. Bluestone and granite handle weather and heavy foot traffic; travertine and limestone stay cooler underfoot in summer; porcelain offers the lowest maintenance. The right choice depends on whether your space is covered, fully exposed, or adjoins a pool.
